"Although I've enjoyed my time here at Florida, I think it's best for me to move on and get a fresh start somewhere else," Dee Finley said in a statement. "I plan on finishing the semester here and concentrating on my academics."
Muschamp said during Wednesday morning's SEC Teleconference that he would Finley voiced his preference to transfer, but the head coach wanted the two to meet again on Wednesday before a final decision was made.
The redshirt sophomore had four total tackles this season, including one for a loss. He was suspended for the Tennessee game after being arrested for driving with a suspended license.
"Dee has decided that he would like to pursue other opportunities," said Muschamp. "We wish him the best of luck, and we appreciate his time at Florida."
