Gators Will Host Huge List of Visitors

The Florida Gators must be planning on putting on a good show Saturday night when Florida State comes to town. A who's who of high school football prospects will be in attendance for the weekend and the game and giving them a taste of Gainesville and a big show can go a long way in impressing some of these stars to be Gators of the future.

Florida isn't planning on hosting any big time quarterbacks from the 2012 class this weekend. However, there are three high [profile quarterbacks from the 2013 class planning on being in The Swamp to watch the game. Georgia commitment Brice Ramsey is expected to join Juwan Brown, and Eddie Printz as the three signal callers in attendance Saturday.

At running back, Florida commitment Matt Jones should be the lone star 2012 prospect in attendance and he is a huge one. While here, Jones may want to get in the ear of some of the many younger backs that are planning on being in town. The 2013 class is loaded at the position and Kelvin Taylor, Fred Coppet, Ryan Green, Derrick Henry (UGA commit), Jo Jo Kemp, Adam Lane, Josh Mercer, and A.J. Turman are all supposed to be in the south end zone watching the game Saturday night. You can also add big time 2014 running back Sony Michel to the mix.

The Gators are hoping to sign a few receivers in 2013, but it appears that only one of huge interest will be in attendance. Commitment Latroy Pittman will be there and only lives 30 minutes away. Although there is good news in the mother of five-star receiver Stefon Diggs will make the trip without her son, who has been in town a couple of times.

Maybe the numbers are low for the 2012 class of receivers, but the 2013 list that is expected is a dandy. Taj Williams, Chris Thompson, Richard Benjamin, Ahmad Fulwood, Xavier Richardson, Demarcus Robinson, and Reggie Davis should be the best list of 2013 receivers on anyone's campus at any time this season.

It is imperative that Florida signs three tight ends in the 2012 class and that group should come from the four that are expected to be in attendance. Gator commitments Colin Thompson and Kent Taylor are listed the top two tight ends in America on Scout.com but that won't stop Florida from trying to add another. Look for the Gators to put a hard sell on Kurt Freitag and / or Sean Culkin who should also be in attendance.

The Florida offensive line board should be bigger than it is and with that in mind only two big linemen in the 2012 class are expected in. Gator commitment Jessaman Dunker is a huge get for the Gators this year and is expected in as well as five-star lineman Avery Young who will be on an official visit.

Again, Florida has done well inviting some younger guys to visit and offensive line isn't an exception. Joshua Outlaw, Joe Fennell, Jack Kurzu, and big timer Laremy Tunsil are four names expected in from the 2013 class.

Florida knows they have to do well on the defensive line and this will be a huge game and atmosphere for that group, especially at defensive end. Gator commitment Quinteze Williams is expected in for the game. Big timers Jordan Jenkins and Jonathan Bullard will both be on official visits for the game. Daytona star Leonard Williams and Florida State commitment Dante Fowler are also expected in. A couple of 2013 prospects at end are also due in with Demarcus Walker and Devin Washington on the list.

It is a thin year in the south at defensive tackle. Florida has two commitments at the position and both will be in attendance. Jafar Mann and Omari Phillips have been in Gainesville a few times each. The lone 2013 prospect sat defensive tackle expected in is Caleb Brantley.

Two big names in the 2012 linebacker class will be in town. Gator commitment Jeremi Powell and Tyriq McCord are two the Gators really want. They should be joined by a big time list of 2013 linebackers. Keith Kelsey, Michael Deeb, Nigel Harris, Mario Mathis, Daniel McMillian, and Quinton Powell are also expected to be here.

The Gators have two commitments from safeties in the 2012 class and both are expected into Gainesville this weekend. Rhaheim Ledbetter will make it in from North Carolina for his official visit and Melbourne's Marcus Maye should also be seated in the south end zone Saturday night. Three big time 2013 safeties are also due in as Marcell Harris, Malik Greaves and Nick Washington should be there.

Florida is looking for size and strength at cornerback and the visit list on hand certainly shows that. Gator commitments Brian Poole and Willie Bailey both have their intangibles to be big timers. Two more very physical and star studded corners are also expected with Tracy Howard and Chris Bivins planning on being in The Swamp.

Florida will also host a large contingent of star 2013 corners as Mackenzie Alexander, Artie Burns, J.J. Green, Vernon Hargreaves, Tshumbi Johnson, Austin Logan form a group of big and physical corners that should be in attendance.

Finally, Florida will have to replace place kicker Caleb Sturgis after next season and has already gained a commitment from one of the nation's best in Austin Hardin who says he will also be on hand for the game.

The Florida Gators could field a big time team from the quality and quantity of prospects expected Saturday. They can't take them all, but they very well may like to.
