2013 News and Notes

As the 2012 recruiting season steadily approaches it's time to turn our attention to the class of 2013 and tomorrow's superstars.

College coaches from across the country are trying to put a stamp on this year's recruiting classes but that has not stopped them from focusing on the stars of tomorrow.

Keith Kelsey: LB 6'2 215 Gainesville (FL) Gainesville High School:

Has one offer from South Florida and is getting serious looks from teams such as LSU, Clemson, Alabama, Missouri, Florida and Florida State.

Cord Sandberg: QB 6'2 190 Bradenton (FL) Manatee High School:

He has verbal offers from teams like Auburn, Clemson, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Western Kentucky, Iowa State, Mississippi State, South Florida, Central Florida and Baylor.

Leon McQuay: S 6'1 185 Seffner (FL) Armwood High School:

Leon has offers from Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, South Florida, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UAB and UCLA.

Johnathon McCrary: QB 6'3 185 Ellenwood (GA) Cedar Grove High School:

McCrary has offers from Alabama, Oregon, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and Oklahoma State.

Ricky Jeune: WR 6'2 180 Montvale (NJ) St. Joseph High School:

Ricky has one offer from Boston College and is being recruited by North Carolina, Florida, Miami, West Virginia, Wisconsin, ECU, Notre Dame and Rutgers.

Garrett Sickels: DE 6'4 230 Red Bank (NJ) Red Bank Regional High School:

"Florida is recruiting me the hardest right now," Coach Verducci and Quinn. "I am pretty sure my parents and I are going down to the Swamp in April, I am so pumped."

Trey Johnson: LB 6'1 210 Lawrenceville (GA) Central Gwinnett High School:

"I am still committed to Auburn, Penn State just offered and Miami is on me the hardest."

Kyle LaPorte: CB 5'10 170 Piscataway (NJ) Piscataway High School:

"I have offers from Rutgers, and Penn State. Miami, UNLV, Michigan, Michigan State and Oklahoma State are recruiting me the hardest."
