UF Close on Big CB

Florida is close to getting a commitment from a big cornerback from the Sunshine State.

DaJaun Morgan is an athletic high school quarterback from Riveria Beach (Fla.) Suncoast High School. At the next level, he will play wide receiver or defensive back, depending on where he ends up going to school. Morgan, 6-2 and 190 pounds, runs in the 4.4 range. And According to Morgan, he has scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia, Auburn, NC State, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Duke and Ohio State.

"Those are the offers I can remember," Morgan said. Right now, I like Florida number one. They are my leader. I like everything about them and they are showing so much interest in me and giving me lots of attention. I am also very interested in Miami and Ohio State. The two main things I am looking at are being comfortable and playing quickly. I may make a decision soon."

Last season as a junior, Morgan played quarterback and free safety. He passed for over 1,000 yards (13 TD passes) and rushed for over 500 yards (7 rushing TDs). Defensively, he recorded 3 interceptions.

"I consider myself a better wide receiver than cornerback but everyone seems to like to better as a corner. I work hard and use everything I have. Plus, I have good size and speed."

This summer, Morgan plans on camping at Florida, South Florida and Miami.
