Haskins spent the last two years at the University of Nevada in Reno as the Director of Player Personnel. Before that he spent three years at his alma mater Stanford, helping the Cardinal recruit the best teams in the program's history under former coach Jim Harbaugh.
He helped recruit top 10 classes at Stanford, something that is not easy given the academic requirements. He also was put in charge of a great deal of the player alumni relations and the football camps at Stanford.
He graduated from Stanford with a degree in Public Policy in 1998 and was drafted by the NFL's San Diego Chargers and spent two years in the league followed by a year in the XFL.
He served as a graduate assistant at Stanford following his playing days and then moved on to Duke to do the same where he earned his Masters degree in Humanities.
After a three year stint in the sports movie production industry, Haskins returned to football at his alma mater Stanford where he worked four years in the recruiting department, heading the department for three of those years.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida Haskins was a multi-sport star in high school and a four-year starter at Stanford earning All Pac-10 notoriety twice during his career.
It is uncertain exactly what duties Haskins will have at Florida.
