Gators Continue to Lead for Top WR

Florida's Junior Day was quite a whirlwind as the Gators locked up six new commitments in the class of 2013 and hosted many of the class' top prospects. One of the top wide receiver prospects, Stacy Coley, visited Gainesville for the weekend and says the Gators continue in the lead for his services next year.

Stacy Coley has been open about having Florida has his leader in the past, and not much has changed after a great visit to Gainesville for Junior Day.

"It's still my favorite school, I'd like to go up there again, I'm actually going to go up there for spring, they told me I could come up for spring," Coley said.

"It's great, they're still my number one team."

The 6-foot, 173-pound junior from Northeast (Oakland Park, FL) arrived in Gainesville Saturday morning very early, around 2:00am. Coley didn't waste any time seeing the town, as a friend of his gave him a late-night tour of the campus.

Coley got to see much of the campus during the daylight during the Junior Day activities.

"It was actually great seeing Gainesville and the school, they showed me the Bull Gator and the hall of fame. There's some great staff involved, and I just (enjoyed) meeting new people," he said.

Coley also got to spend some time talking to Florida Offensive Coordinator Brent Pease, and got a good feel for how they would use him.

"I talked to the offensive coordinator and he told me that he liked my film and that I can be a big game changer, and that I could really help them," Coley said. "(They said) they would just love to have me and they run the formation that I fit in."

"They were saying a lot of stuff, like what they told me before. They were saying they'd love to have me there, that it's a great place to come get your degree and meet new people, and it's good to be around the Gator family," he said.

Coley is continuing to build good relationships with the coaches, especially his wide receiver's coach Aubrey Hill, Coley's primary recruiter. Coley says the coaching staff has made it clear they want him badly, and in Coley's mind, the program seems like a great fit for him. At this point, he plans to wait awhile before making his decision, but from the way he talks about the Gators, it wouldn't be too surprising if that changed.
