Football or Basketball?

Football or basketball? It seems to be a decision that forward Charron Fisher is eventually going to have to make.

Charron Fisher will one day come to a fork in the road. Will have play on the hardwood, the gridiron or possibly both?

With football – he's a tight end and linebacker – scholarship offers from Virginia, Pittsburgh and Rutgers, he's got some nice options. "I like Virginia right now," Fisher said. "If they could offer me something for basketball then they could be the school." From a football perspective, UVa is in great shape.

Now, the hoops end of is solid too. Cincinnati, Rutgers, St. Joseph's, Drexel and Stanford are dabbling with him, but none have offered to date. "Drexel said they had a scholarship that they want to give to me. St. Joe's said that they're going to offer me but the other schools haven't said anything yet."

Fisher has well over a 3.6 GPA and a passing score on the SAT; though he'd have to boost it for Stanford admissions.

This summer, he'll tour with the Dajuan Wagner All-Stars. In fact, he helped Wagner's team to a second-place finish at the prestigious Spiece Run ‘n Slam in May.

Wagner himself takes an active part in the team. Every Thursday he comes up and scrimmages with the players on the roster.

Fisher, known for his toughness and combativeness inside, is working on expanding his game. "So far I'm doing pretty good. I've gotta do better but I'm doing pretty good. . I'm showing coaches that I could more on the wing some but I've still got to get better and more confident in shooting it."
