"I was surprised and I was happy," Kitt said.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound sophomore said he enjoyed watching the Gators practice and was impressed by their approach.
"They looked like they knew what they were trying to get done and how they want to do it," he said.
Kitt said his practices at Sandy Creek are very fast-paced and high-intensity, similar to the way the Florida practices are run.
"I think I could fit right into their offense," he said. "(I'm) able to take over games and I'm explosive."
"I'm working on my strength and my speed."
Kitt said it would be great to play at the next level with Glass, who is expecting a Florida offer soon.
"We want to stick together but if we do decide to go to different schools then that's fine we're still going to be close," Kitt said.
"But when we play each other it's going to be like we don't know each other."
There are no leaders at this point for Kitt, but he has offers from schools including Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. He's keeping his mind open, but he is hoping to get back down to the Sunshine State soon.
"I'm trying to get down to FSU and I'm probably going to be down at Florida on (April) 7th."
April 7th is, of course, the Gators' spring football game.
