Florida Stops in on 2014 DB Collins

Although he is only a sophomore, Dallas (TX) Skyline corner back Cedric Collins is already on the radar for many schools across the country. The university of Florida is starting to make a renewed push into the state of Texas, and this week they stopped by to see the talented young defensive back.

"So far, only Florida has stopped by this week," Cedric Collins said.

While he was there, Florida's tight end coach Derek Lewis, made sure to find out what he could about Collins and get the sophomore's game film to look at.

According to Collins, he is not set on staying in the state of Texas for college.

"I'm open to anything," he said.

As time goes on, Collins will take the time to consider every school that shows him interest.

"I'll be blessed with any contact from schools. I have offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, SMU and Kansas State so far," he said.

Although the Gators have expressed interest, Florida's coaches did not specify if they would extend a verbal offer in the future.

"They haven't said anything about an offer at this time," he said.

Although it is early in the recruiting process for the skillful defensive back, he has already received a lot of interest. As his stock continues to rise, the young defender will undoubtedly garner attention from many more schools.
