Smith's taking things slow

Kristopher Smith added an offer from Indiana earlier this week and he now has a total of three offers. He talks about those, his family connection to Georgia Tech, and more with Scout here.

"Western Kentucky was the first school to offer me and they offered me about three weeks ago," Kristopher Smith told Scout. "Syracuse offered me last week and Indiana offered me on Wednesday. Those are schools that have offered me so far."

Smith does not know much about any of the three schools that offered him a scholarship, but he plans to research them soon.

"I didn't know any of those three schools had interest on me, but now that they have offered me, I will be getting on the computer to look them up."

A school he knows a good bit about is Georgia Tech. Not only are they an in-state school, but both of his parents (Sean and Pam Smith) graduated from Georgia Tech as well.

If the Yellow Jackets offer, do they have a great shot at landing Smith?

"You could say that Tech has a little edge because of the house I have grown up in. I like them, I have visited them, and I know a lot about them. Both of his parents have talked to me about Georgia Tech, so they might have a little advantage if they offer me."

The 6-foot-1, 205 pound linebacker out of Flowery Branch, Ga. knows Georgia Tech has interest in him.

"I have visited them for one of their Junior Days and I liked it. I liked the atmosphere and I liked their new indoor facility a lot. I also talked to some of their coaches, and I am getting letters, and all that, but I have not gotten an offer yet."

Duke, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, and Vanderbilt are showing Smith attention at this time.

He is open and does not have a leader at this time.
