Lane Thrilled to Be Back at Practice

Two days of Spring football practice have passed at Winter Haven High School and Adam Lane couldn't be more thrilled. The 2013 running back missed his entire junior season after suffering a severe ankle injury in fall practice a few days before the first game. He continued to work out as much as he could, but now he is back on the field.

Florida running back commitment Adam Lane says he can't even put into words how great it feels to be back at practice after all this time.

"Everything is just almost overwhelming, you know, it's been almost eight months now, I kind of forgot how it feels to be on the football field. I can't even explain how it feels to be back out there and running the ball and stuff," Lane said.

"Honestly, it's crazy, in the back of my head, I know I can't think too far in the future, but I just can't wait til that first game to show all the people who think the injury might affect my game, but I know it's not, so I can't wait til that first game so I can prove everyone wrong."

Lane worked tirelessly at his rehab and continued his other workouts to get to this point and he feels great.

"It's wonderful, I had a little soreness towards the end, but while I'm running and stuff I had no problems with it at all," he said.

Now that he is officially back on the practice field, he's looking forward to opportunity to grow his game to the next level.

"I want to capitalize on being able to read the defense and know where my pulling guards are, how to run behind my blocks and things like that," he said. Lane expects some of his future coaches at Florida to come check him out at practice today and he's quite excited for it.

"I can't wait, I've been talking to them all this week about it."
