2014 RB Roberts Working Hard

Zephyr-hills (Fla.) 2014 running back Jordan Roberts is more than just a football player. He is a three-sport athlete, an honor roll student, and a dedicated teammate. For Roberts, working hard is a lifestyle. Now that Roberts is receiving interest from multiple college football coaches, it has become clear that his great work ethic is going to pay off in the long run.

"I play football, basketball, and track," Jordan Roberts said.

Roberts' diverse athletic experience has allowed him to understand the amount of effort that it takes to become an integral part of any team.

"Sports are a big part of my life and I work hard and strive to be the best that I can be. I want people to know that I'm dedicated to whatever sport I'm competing in at the time and not only sports but also in school. I'm an honor roll student and believe in being a student athlete," he said.

Apparently, college coaches are taking notice of the young back.

"I haven't talked to any coaches yet but my coach, Reggie Roberts, has. Florida, Louisville, Michigan St, and UMass are the only schools I know have come to the school to talk to him," he said.

Despite the early attention, Roberts is remaining modest.

"I think it's such a blessing and it's humbling to have a Division 1 school interested in you. It motivates me to work harder and stay focused. I'm just glad and hope that they keep their interest in me," Roberts said of Florida.

Throughout his childhood, Roberts had a favorite collegiate basketball team. Interestingly enough, he did not follow football as closely.

"I grew up a Florida basketball fan. Not so much football though," he admitted.

During the summer, Roberts wants to participate in a few football camps.

"I'm hoping to, I'm not sure what camps yet. I'll have to talk to my coach," Roberts said.
