Jason Horton has a leader entering the summer. Horton, one of the top PGs in the Class of 2004, favors a certain Big 12 school.
One school fell from Jason Horton
's list last week. Florida
pretty much took itself out of the running to land Horton when it accepted a commitment from Taurean Green
"That made my decision a little easier," Horton said at the USA Basketball Youth Development Festival. "I'm not disappointed. Everything happened for a reason."
Entering the July period, Missouri, Arizona State, Kansas and Arkansas are in the mix for Horton. However, no one is kidding themselves here. Missouri is the team to beat.
The Tigers lead for a number of reasons. "I got a chance to develop a relationship with Quin Snyder. They've been recruiting me the longest."
Horton is on his own timetable. He says there's no pressure to decide. "Whenever I feel comfortable. I want to be patient. I'm praying and waiting for the right time."
