Dog Days of Summer for Florida's Camps

The Summer months are upon us and the time for camps inch closer and closer. The University of Florida is set to get things underway this weekend as a host of prospects are coming in to visit and some to work out for the Gators' staff. Numerous 2013 and 2014 prospects will visit Florida this Summer.

the Florida football camps start Saturday and some of the nation's best high school prospects will be on hand.

Antonio Riles was recently offered by Alabama and they look to be squarely in the mix for the Archer HS standout defensive linemen. "I am looking forward to just kicking it with the coaches and such. I am going down with others." Riles checks in at 6'4 and 265-pounds. Riles will visit Florida this weekend (Saturday June 9th)

Priest Willis is a five star defensive back that is looking at the Gators and while he says he will visit Florida he is not sure on the date at this time and it won't be for camp. Willis is 6'2 and 190 pounds out of Tempe (AZ) Marcos De Niza High School. The book on Willis, Willis is a physical specimen. Has the size/speed combo to play major college football. Currently plays corner where he shows tremendous tackling ability and has the size to man handle receivers. But as he continues to grow, he could transition into a safety.

Adrian Baker is not planning to attend camps or FNL this year with the Gators and says that Florida State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Clemson and West Virginia are showing him the most love. Baker is 6'1 165-pound long and lean cornerback prospect from Hollywood (FL) Chaminade Madonna College Prep High School.

6'5 and 240-pound defensive end Isaac Rochell checks in from McDonough (GA) Eagles Landing Christian Academy. Rochell appears to be leaning to Notre Dame at this time and is not sure of his return date to Gainesville at this time.

Norcross running back Alvin Kamara is being heavily recruited by Alabama and Georgia. Regarding the Gators Alvin said he is not sure if he will visit Gainesville this Summer. Kamara is 5'11 190-pounds.

Tight end Jordan Davis will visit on June 15th and as of today if I was picking a tight end I would go with Jordan. Davis is 6'4 225-pounds from Thomson (GA) Thomson High School.

Sean White, "I was thinking about going up this weekend but I am going up to Boston College. Maybe Friday Night Lights." White is a 2014 Quarterback from Hollywood (FL) Chaminade Madonna College Prep High School. White is teammates with defensive tackle Khairi Clark and Linebacker Richard Yeargin III.

Denzel Franklin (2014) is a defensive back I really like who might not make it to Florida this Summer. Franklin checks in at 6'1 and 185-pounds from Atlanta (GA) Pace Academy. "I don't think I will be able to make it to Florida this Summer." More than likely he will make it to Miami and South Carolina because of the high school coach.

Corey Holmes (2014) wide receiver out of St. Thomas Aquinas, "I am not sure. Me and my dad have not picked out dates yet." Holmes is 6'1 and 180-pounds out of Ft. Lauderdale.

"I don't know yet I got to figure that out." Defensive Linemen Joey Ivie from Dade City (FL) Pasco High School says he will visit for sure over the Summer he just isn't sure when.

Johnnie Dixon, will visit on June 15th he told and is curious to watch the coaching staff. "I want to see how the coaching staff works." Dixon is another 2014 recruit from Palm Beach Gardens (FL) Dwyer High School.

The nation's number one defensive tackle prospect Montravius Adams is not sure on his return date but says he definitely will visit Florida again over the Summer. Adams checks in from Vienna (GA) Dooly County High School at 6'3 and 285-pounds.

2014 standout cornerback prospect D.J. Smith said he is most looking forward to "Meeting the coaches starting up a good coach/player relationship." Smith will visit Gainesville Saturday June 9th. He is 5'11 175-pounds from Marietta (GA) Walton High School.

As we reported yesterday Alex Anzalone will be back in Gainesville once again for a visit on June 17th.

Josh Allen (2014) said "Hopefully this month if not next" on his trip to the Swamp. Allen checks in at 6'3 1/2 280-pounds from Orange Park (FL) Oakleaf High School.

"I am not camping in Florida this Summer." 2014 Quarterback Drew Barker 6'4 200-pounds from Hebron (KY) Conner High School.

"I leave on Friday for an academic tour then I go to camp on Saturday (June 9th) I am very excited." Corey Martinez (2014) checks in at 6'4 and 290-pounds from Tampa (FL) Tampa Catholic High School. He could play either side of the ball.

Vincent Jackson, Junior (2014) Linebacker out of Tamps (FL) Jesuit High School will visit this Saturday(June 9th) and all that is left is the offer. He is looking forward to an hoping they pull the trigger and offer him.

Another player I really like for next year's class is wide out Jacob McCrary (2014) out of Miami (FL) Coral Reef High School. McCrary is the real deal at 6'1 and 170-pounds. He gets my vote early on as one of the top wide receivers in Florida heading into the camp tour. McCrary will camp at Florida, but not sure when.

The Quarterback situation could get a little more interesting this weekend as Asianti Woulard is set to come in and work out for coach Muschamp and Pease. Woulard is a fan favorite checking in from Winter Park (FL) Winter Park High School and is 6'4 and 200-pounds.

Will Grier (2014) Quarterback from Davidson (NC) Davidson Day High School is looking forward to his June 13th visit to the Swamp. Grier is 6'3 and 190-pounds and has big time statistics. "Just getting to know the coaches and see the campus."

There is a chance you could see four 2014 prospects out of Tarpon Springs (FL) East Lake High School make their way to Florida this weekend but it's not set yet. "I will let you know tomorrow night because we are all sitting down for dinner and planning all of our camp target dates out." Devin Abraham a 5'10 170-pound cornerback. Offensive linemen Mason Cole and athlete Artavis Scott 5'11 170-pounds are the other prospects to keep an eye on. With them could be safety/wide receiver George Campbell as well.

"I am not sure yet but I think I am going to try and attend Friday Night Lights." 6'6 190-pound quarterback Chase Litton (2014) from Tampa (FL) Wharton High School.

Dominique Booth (2014) wide receiver out of Indianapolis (IN) Pike High School is very excited about his June 9th trip to Gainesville. Booth checks in at 6'1 and 190-pounds. "Time with the wide receiver coach and head coach. During the camp I will be looking forward to seeing the receivers coach style of coaching and techniques he uses."

"I am not sure yet but I am going and looking forward to meeting the coaches," Kevin Crosby. Crosby is another 2014 standout out of Bamberg Ehehardt (SC) Bamberg High School.

Orlando Brown (2014) massive offensive linemen out of Georgia, Peachtree Ridge High School. " I am not attending the camp I'm just going down for an unofficial visit. Coach Durkin is my recruiting coach and I am looking forward to seeing the campus and learning about the education there." Brown is 6'7 and 340-pounds. Brown is set to attend June 9th as well.

2014 offensive linemen/tight end prospect Reilly Gibbons will attend on Monday June 11th. Gibbons checks in from St. Petersburg (FL) St. Pete Catholic High School and is a teammate of 2013 running back Ryan Green.

Two more 2014 defensive standouts Khairi Clark and Delvin Purifoy are not sure when they will visit Florida during the Summer months. Raekwon McMillan (2014) linebacker will not camp with Florida at all this Summer.
