Brown Gets His Shot at Camp

Ever since he was younger, Brookfield (CT) quarterback Boeing Brown has followed the Florida Gators. This weekend, Brown will get the chance to impress Florida's coaches at camp. If he performs well, Brown may earn a chance to play for his childhood favorite and return to the Sunshine State.

"[Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease] has been in communication with me. He asked me to be sure to come to camp this Saturday and he seems to be very serious about recruiting me," Boeing Brown said.

Throughout the process, Brown has expressed interest in Florida. This Saturday, he will finally get his chance to shine.

"I'm planning to fly down tomorrow and throw for him on Saturday. It looks like some of the top offer quarterbacks on UF's list have committed to other schools so I feel really good about coming to UF this weekend, seeing the coaches, and working hard to be a Gator," he said.

According to Brown, an offer from Florida would be very exciting.

"I would love it if they offered. I'd be honored. I have always liked the Gators and would love to go to Florida. Plus, I am really excited about Coach Pease and what he will bring to the Florida program. I feel that I could fit in nicely," he said.

Brown is not afraid of working hard. His motto, "hard work pays off," helps him to focus on his goals. His positive attitude and work ethic have attracted the attention of multiple college coaches.

"I am communicating with several schools. Coach Taaffe at UCF said he has one committed QB but he said they plan to take two and will have me at camp to throw soon," the 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback said.

"I just got back from Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Kentucky and some others. I'm heading to NC State, Duke, Indiana, Tennessee, and Wisconsin," he added.

At this point, Brown is enjoying the sights and sounds of the recruiting trail.

"Things are going great. I'm very excited and loving the recruiting process," he said.

Clearly, Brown will do whatever it takes to impress the schools that are showing interest. In the end, the talented quarterback hopes that his dedication will pay off.
