Cole with a Busy Summer

Now that summer is upon us, many high school football prospects will be attending camps with their teammates. This Sunday, East Lake 2014 offensive lineman Mason Cole traveled to Gainesville with 2014 wide receiver Artavis Scott and 2015 wide receiver George Campbell. Cole enjoyed his time at Florida and is looking forward to his upcoming college visits.

"The visit was really good. We got a tour of the facilities then we did some drills and sat down with [Florida head coach Will Muschamp]," Mason Cole said.

According to Cole, Muschamp expressed his interest in the talented lineman.

"He said he was excited to have us and that he hopes I can be a Gator," Cole said.

While he was on campus, Cole enjoyed taking in the many sights and sounds.

"I didn't really have a favorite part. It was all really good," he said.

Cole was happy to share the experience with two of his teammates.

"I went with Artavis Scott and George Campbell. It was fun to experience everything with them," he said.

In the coming days, Cole will be very busy. The young offensive lineman will attend multiple camps.

"I leave for Clemson and South Carolina tomorrow and then I'm going to USC and Stanford later in June," he said.

For now, Cole plans on keeping an open mind.

"I don't really have any leaders. I'll probably narrow it down after June when I see all of the schools that I am going to," he said.

Despite his desire to remain open, the Gators made a lasting impression on the young prospect.

"Florida will definitely be a school that I consider," he said.
