Brown is Optimistic for Gators Offer

When Brookfield (CT) quarterback Boeing Brown was invited to camp at Florida over the weekend, he was excited at the thought of competing in front of the coaches. According to Brown, his experience in Gainesville on Saturday was very rewarding. The talented quarterback hopes that his performance made an impression on the Gators.

"I loved throwing with [Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease] and visiting with [Florida head coach Will Muschamp]. It was a hot day and hard work. We really had fun though as I got to know, or already knew, most of the top QB's that were all competing and working together," Boeing Brown said.

The competition was not the only thing that Brown enjoyed.

"I love the facilities, coaches, and university. I hope to hear back from Coach Pease as he said he was really pleased that I came and liked everything that I did. He wants me to keep working and stay in touch. He also said that he will evaluate further with Coach Muschamp and the other coaches as to which of the top five or six kids they plan to extend offers to after camp," he said.

Now that camp is over, Brown is hopeful that he will hear positive things from the Gators in the future.

"I am optimistic, but I know they were looking at three or four of us really hard, me included," he said.

Although he would love to hear from Florida, Brown is also looking forward to learning more about his other opportunities.

"I really liked it and definitely can see myself there and I would definitely want to be there, but I am also eager to see what UCF and [offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Charlie Taaffe] will do this next week with me," he said.

"I am also going to camp at NC State, Indiana, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Duke, Maryland, and a few others in the next few weeks so my recruiting will continue," he added.

Clearly, Brown is excited about all of the possible opportunities. No matter what the future holds, Brown will continue to work hard at every event that he attends.
