Stevenson Takes in UF Camp

After a rainy weekend, Monday was a relatively nice day in Gainesville, Florida. Bartow (Fla.) outside linebacker Freddie Stevenson got to experience the atmosphere and the weather first hand. While he was on campus, Stevenson enjoyed learning more about the football program and the university.

"It was my first time visiting UF. It was good," Freddie Stevenson said.

After arriving at the university, Stevenson took part in multiple activities. Along the way, the talented linebacker got the chance to speak to numerous people.

"While I was there I got to talk to the coaches, the players, and take a tour," he said.

Although he enjoyed seeing the campus, Stevenson was more impressed with the tight-knit, family atmosphere.

"My favorite part was just how it was a great family environment," he said.

During his visit, Florida's coaches outlined the next steps in the recruiting process for the 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker.

"They said they are still evaluating me and that they want me to come to Friday Night Lights," he said.

In the near future, Stevenson plans to visit two other Sunshine State schools.

"I'm going to FSU and Miami soon," he said.

"FSU has already offered so I'm just trying to learn more about them and I want to see if Miami is going to offer," he added.

According to Stevenson, there are three schools that are really standing out to him.

"Texas A&M, Penn State, and FSU are my leaders right now," he said.

Despite the fact that he has already narrowed down his list, Stevenson plans on taking his time with his decision.

"I'll probably make my decision after my officials," he said.
