Ivie plans on FNL and enrolling early

Ever since he committed to the Florida Gators, Pasco defensive tackle Joey Ivie has been working hard to improve his game. The talented prospect is excited about the future and is looking forward to possibly attending Friday Night Lights this Friday July 27, in Gainesville.

On top of working hard on the practice field, Joey Ivie is also working hard in the classroom in an attempt to enroll early at the University of Florida.

"I've been doing really well. Just grinding away and trying to graduate early," Ivie said.

Now that he has committed, Ivie continues to keep in touch with Florida's coaches.

"I talk to the coaches about once a week," he said.

In addition to talking to the coaches, Ivie has also communicated with some of the other players that are committed to Florida.

"I have kind of talked to some of [the committed players]. I knew some players already. I still talk to Caleb Brantley and I'm trying to do a little recruiting on my own," he said.

This weekend, Ivie may get a chance to talk to the coaches and his fellow future Gators in person.

"I plan on attending Friday Night Lights," he said.

Clearly, Ivie is dedicated to doing whatever he can to make a difference in Gainesville. The young defender is looking forward to the future and hopes that his efforts will pay off for the Gators.
