"[My reason for participating] was just to compete. All summer I've been working on my skills so I just wanted to see how I enhanced myself. I think I did pretty well tonight, at this competition," he said.
In his mind, the outing was very rewarding.
"I think I held my own against some of the better defenders out here, but I definitely think I could excel more and get bigger and stronger and take my game to another level," he said.
For Outlaw, learning from his future coaches was an added bonus.
"It feels like they're coaching. Of course, there are some other guys out there but today was a good day for me," he said.
"I enjoyed Friday Night Lights and all. If I could do it one more time I would do it again but I'm going to be here soon," he added.
While he was on the field, Outlaw focused on improving. Thus, he did not have much time to communicate with other prospects. After the event, he got a chance to change that.
"I didn't get to talk too much. When we went up to the room on the fifth floor, we ate with some of the commits and I got to talk to some of the guys. All in all, I enjoyed it," he said.
Now that he has attended his last Friday Night Lights as a prospect, Outlaw is looking forward to his future experiences in the Swamp.
"I'd definitely like to see it when all the fans get there. That might be one of the most exciting moments," he said.
