SEC Schedule Released

The Southeastern Conference expansion to 14 teams in the offseason will have the league playing an 18-game basketball schedule that starts in January. Florida's four rotating home-and-home opponents will be Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Missouri. The other eight games will be split between home and away against the other SEC teams.

The SEC home schedule for Florida includes Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt to go along with the home games against Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Missouri, who the Gators will repay with road games. Florida will also go on the road to face Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Florida's annual home and away rivalry with Kentucky will remain untouched as long as the SEC stays in this type of scheduling format. The teams will match up in Gainesville on February 12 while making the trip to Lexington on March 9, the final regular season game of the year.

The Gators open conference play by hosting Georgia on January 9. Florida then goes on a two-game road trip on January 12 to LSU and January 17 to Texas A&M. After facing the Aggies, the Gators return home to face the other conference newcomer, Missouri, on January 19.

Other road highlights include at Missouri on February 19 and at Tennessee on February 26.

The home highlights are the Missouri and Kentucky match ups, as well as Vanderbilt on March 6.

Eleven of the total 14 games will be televised on the ESPN networks.
