Thompson will be 'Swamped' on Saturday

With college football season right around the corner, fans and recruits will finally get a chance to see their favorite teams in action. No one feels more excitement than Florida wide receiver commit Chris Thompson. In his mind, the only place to be this coming Saturday is in The Swamp.

Since the campus of the University of Florida is in his own back yard, Chris Thompson is planning on attending Florida's first game against Bowling Green this Saturday at 3:30.

"I will be there," Thompson said.

Now that he is committed, the 6-foot-0, 167-pound receiver is especially excited about watching the Gators take the field.

"I'm looking forward to it. I just love the atmosphere," he said.

Next year, Thompson will get his chance to experience the atmosphere in a different way. Instead of watching from the stands, Thompson will finally get his opportunity to take part in the action on the field. For this reason, the talented receiver believes that his game day experience will be very special now that he is committed.

During the game, the local receiver will be watching the offense even more closely than normal.

"I expect to see some big plays out of the receivers," Thompson said.

Although Thompson does not have a final score in mind, he is not shy about his opinion that the Gators will dominate in their season opener.

"I'll just say it will be a lot to a little," he said.

At the end of the day, Thompson will come away with a better understanding of where the Gators are headed. Clearly, he hopes that he will be able to make an impact when he gets his shot on Saturdays.
