Schuyler Rimmer opted to reopen his recruitment on Monday, a source says.

After committing to Florida in early August, Rimmer, a 6-foot-10, 255-pound big man out of Orlando (Fla.) Boone, opted to part ways with Florida, where he was going to walk-on.

Prior to committing to Florida, Rimmer entertained plenty of high major interest. Rimmer took unofficial visits to Virginia, Central Florida, Penn State and Clemson.

He also had interest from Marquette, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Harvard, Miami, Auburn and others.

Although the Gators lost Rimmer, they still have a great recruiting class that consists of top 10 recruits Kasey Hill and Chris Walker.
