Max Staver on OV to UF

Coach Will Muschamp and offensive coordinator Brent Pease targeted quarterback Max Staver and he decided to join the Gator Nation. Staver and his family made their official visit to Gainesville this past weekend as the Gators hosted the Kentucky Wildcats.

"I got there Thursday night late. I flew down by myself and my parents drove down. Friday had a great day with coach Muschamp and Pease. I hung out with Austin Hardin, Marcus Maye, Jeff Driskel and a couple of other guys it was awesome man I loved it."

Staver talked about what it felt like watching his first Gator game in the Swamp

"It was so fun they played well and had a big time shut out. The Gator walk was pretty cool and I loved it and I can't wait to be there one day. It's hard for me to watch because I need to be playing. It's just hard because when I am not in football I want to get away from the game but when I am at a sporting event I got to be playing. I thought about myself running out of the tunnel and dropping back and throwing some passes. Offensively they are still working some kinks out here and there but they are starting to get some things rolling. I talked with the coaches about how me and my family are doing and how school is going and things like that."

Jalen Ramsey is a teammate of Staver who is currently committed to USC. Ramsey also made his official visit to Gainesville this past weekend and Staver shared his thoughts.

"I think Florida is in his top three or something like that but he liked it down there. He enjoyed it and was cutting up and smiling so we will see what happens. I think we have a decent shot of landing him it will come down to USC and Florida."
