McCarron Magic Disappeared In Fourth Quarter
Trailing 20-0 at the end of the first quarter, Alabama began the potential game winning fourth quarter drive at their own 40. McCarron threw a perfect 54-yard strike to Kenny Bell. Three plays later after a first and goal at the six-yard line, they faced a fourth-and-two. The red-shirt junior quarterback moved to the right throwing to Kenny Bell in the end zone but was picked off for the second time in the game and season as Texas A&M cornerback Deshazor Everett stepped in front of the Tide wide receiver for the interception. A.J. McCarron and Alabama suffered their first home loss since a 9-6 overtime setback against LSU in November 2011. He finished with 21 completions on 34 attempts for a season and career high 309 yards passing and one touchdown pass.
