Will Wilkins Look Around?

Jordan Wilkins is aware that Gene Chizik will not be returning to coach Auburn next year, so where does that put him? Get the latest on this Auburn commitment here.

Gene Chizik will not be the head coach at Auburn next season and Auburn commitment Jordan Wilkins is aware of that.

"I was hoping this [Chizik firing] was not going to happen, but it has been a thought I had," Wilkins told Scout.

"I have some thinking to do now. I might have to open things back up. I am still debating on that. I liked Chizik a lot, so I was hoping this wasn't going to happen."

Wilkins has been in communication with other schools in recent months. Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt are the other schools he has been in contact with.

The 6-foot-1, 210 pound running back out of Cordova (Tenn.) St. Benedictine at Auburndale went down with a broken leg earlier this fall, so he missed some of his senior season.

For now Wilkins is still an Auburn commitment, but stay tuned to Scout.com and AUTigers.com for the latest on him and the Chizik news.
