Juco TE recaps Miami visit

This talented tight end prospect took an official visit to Miami over the weekend, and he talked about it and where the Canes currently stand for him.

Beau Sandland is one of the top Junior College tight end prospects in America, and landed an offer from the Hurricanes earlier this season. He took his official visit over the weekend.

"I visited Miami this weekend," Sandland said. "It went good. I spent the whole weekend there. I was around the players and coaches the whole time. I saw Coral Gables and also watched a lot of film with the team. I kind of got a taste of what it's like down there. I really enjoyed it a lot."

Sandland, 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, has one official visit remaining (Texas Tech next weekend) before making his final decision. He talked about where all five schools stand.

"Texas Tech, Miami, Arizona State, Oklahoma, and Nebraska are my top five now," he said. "I don't have a favorite. All my top five schools are pretty even right now still."

Miami coaches, along with a few others, have already made in-home visits with Sandland and Al Golden is expected to visit later this month, before he makes his final decision.

"Texas Tech, Miami, and Arizona State have visited me at home already," he said. "I think my top five schools plan on coming to visit me two or three times each."

Sandland, who is on track to graduate later this month and sign his national letter-of-intent just before Christmas, talked about what he'll be looking for when making his final choice.

"Things that are going to factor in my decision on a school are the position coach, the type of offense, and the chance to play right away," he said. "Also, I want to feel comfortable there, somewhere I can see myself living the next few years, and wherever can help me get to the NFL."
