Gators in the NFL: Week 14

There were 22 former Gators active in the NFL over the weekend and 14 of those players served as starters for their respective team.

Aaron Hernandez caught eight passes for 58 yards and two touchdown to secure a win on Monday Night Football for the New England Patriots. Brandon Spikes started at linebacker and made one tackle.

Carlos Dunlap made three tackles, including half of a sack, one quarterback hit, one tackle for a loss, one quarterback hit, a pass deflection and an interception. Reggie Nelson started at free safety and made five tackles, including a sack, and one interception.

Major Wright started at strong safety for the Chicago Bears and made five tackles, adding a pass deflection and an interception.

Will Hill saw time at safety for the New York Giants and made five tackles, one pass deflection, plus a tackle and an assist on special teams.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Louis Murphy started and caught five passes for 36 yards.

Riley Cooper started at wide receiver for the Philadelpha Eagles and made four receptions for 37 yards.

Ahmad Black saw time at safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and made six tackles, adding one more on special teams.

Joe Haden started at cornerback for the Cleveland Browns and made four tackles.

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey started at defensive end and made one tackle and a quarterback hit.

Brandon Siler started at linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs and made four tackles, with one coming on special teams.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Andre Caldwell made one catch for 18 yards.

Mike Pouncey started at center for the Miami Dolphins. Cooper Carlisle started at guard for the Oakland Raiders. Maurice Hurt saw time at guard and safety for the Washington Redskins. Maurkice Pouncey started at center for the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Max Starks started at left tackle.

Chris Rainey rushed once for six yards for the Steelers while adding five kickoff returns for 113 yards, an average of 22.6 yards per attempt.

Ray McDonald started at defensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers and made two tackles.
