Gators in the NFL: Week 17

There were 26 former Gators active in the NFL over the weekend and 13 of them started for their NFL team. Five of the eight teams participating in next weekend's NFL wildcard games have at least one former Florida player on the roster.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap filled the stat sheet in the season finale. Dunlap made two tackles, one sack for a loss of 13 yards, a tackle for a loss, two quarterback hits, a pass deflection and an interception that he returned 14 yards for a touchdown. Reggie Nelson started at free safety for the Bengals and made five tackles and a pass deflection.

Jermaine Cunningham started at defensive end for the New England Patriots in his first game back from a four-game suspension and made one tackle. Aaron Hernandez started at tight end and made five catches for 44 yards. Brandon Spikes started at linebacker but didn't record a stat.

Louis Murphy made three catches for 57 yards and wide receivers for the Carolina Panthers.

Riley Cooper started at wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles and made three catches for 32 yards.

Deonte Thompson saw time at wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens and made four receptions for 26 yards.

Ray McDonald started at defensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers and made two tackles while forcing a fumble.

Jeremy Mincey started at defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars and made two tackles and added a quarterback hit.

Joe Haden started at cornerback and made six tackles for the Cleveland Browns.

Brandon Siler saw time at linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs and made two tackles.

Will Hill saw time at safety and made two tackles for the New York Giants.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Ahmad Black made one tackle and a pass deflection.

Atlanta Falcons linebacker Mike Peterson recorded one tackle on special teams.

Andre Caldwell saw action for the Denver Broncos at wide receiver and made a special teams tackle.

Mike Pouncey started at center for the Miami Dolphins. Cooper Carlisle started at left guard for the Oakland Raiders. Maurice Hurt saw time at guard and tackle for the Washington Redskins. Maurkice Pouncey started at center for the Pittsburgh Steelers while Max Starks started at left tackle.

Chris Rainey added a rush for two yards and two kickoff returns for 46 yards for the Steelers.
