Official Visitors Ready for UF

Head coach Will Muschamp and the Florida Gators are sitting on 25 verbal commitments for the class of 2013 and looking for more. The Gators are scheduled to host three official visitors this weekend. Current commitments Keanu Neal and Chris Thompson as well as JuCo defensive tackle Jarran Reed.

Defensive tackle Jarran Reed is the most intriguing visitor this weekend. The 6'4 305-pound interior linemen is originally from East Mississippi Community College by way of Goldsboro (NC). Reed has his choice of colleges such as Mississippi, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, California, Florida State, Mississippi State and Texas Tech to name a few. He is currently committed to Mississippi and has visits scheduled for the next four weekends. Reed will visit Florida this week with his mother and brother, North Carolina on the 18th, Kentucky on the 25th and Mississippi on February 1st.

Coaches, players and facilities are the three things Reed is most looking forward to this weekend.

Keanu Neal is a 6'1 and 205-pound safety from Bushnell (FL) South Sumter High School. Neal has been committed to the Florida Gators since February. He is currently ranked as a four star safety according to Scout.com. Neal ended the recruiting process very early and had offers from teams such as Florida, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, South Carolina, South Florida and Central Florida to name a few.

Wide receiver Chris Thompson joined the Gator Nation in July. The home town standout checks in at 6'0 and 170-pounds from Gainesville (FL) Gainesville High School. He has very good speed and will stretch defenses vertically at the next level. Thompson is a very athletic wide out and plays much bigger than his height would indicate.
