also saw time at defensive end.
Former Florida defensive tackle Ray McDonald started for the San Francisco 49ers and made four tackles in a win over the Green Bay Packers to earn a berth in the NFC Championship.
Linebacker Mike Peterson was active for the Atlanta Falcons and saw time on defense in the team's win over the Seattle Seahawks to earn a berth in the NFC Championship.
Regardless of which team ends up winning the Super Bowl, a former Florida player is guaranteed to win a ring. The Patriots will face the Baltimore Ravens next weekend, and former Florida wide receiver Deonte Thompson has played for the Ravens this season despite not being active in their win over the Denver Broncos.
