Dunker in jail, charged with a felony

Florida offensive lineman Jessamen Dunker was put in jail on Wednesday afternoon and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony. Dunker was also charged with a second-degree misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license.

Jessamen Dunker was a four-star when he graduated from Boynton Beach Community High School and ranked as the No. 12 offensive tackle in the country. He has played guard during his time in Gainesville.

Dunker was kept in jail on Wednesday afternoon and bond was not assigned.

He was pulled over by the University of Florida Police Department for following too close. That's when the cop noticed Dunker was driving with a suspended license and driving a scooter that had been reported stolen, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Dunker took a redshirt during his first year on campus in 2012. He was expected to compete for playing time in 2013 after being praised by coaches and players throughout his redshirt year.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp is aware of the incident and will address it when he returns from recruiting, according to the school. Muschamp was already scheduled to have a press conference on Friday before the incident took place.
