Two new leaders for Hampton

Cameron Hampton, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound four-star linebacker out of Dallas Carter, held Texas A&M as his leader for quite some time. In fact, was once close to committing.

"They're showing me the most interest," Hampton had told Scout.com's Hunter Paniagua two weeks ago. "I've been to two of their practices. Coach [Kevin] Sumlin said I'd be a great fit in their program…My parents will be able to see me every game."

As of Wednesday night, things had changed. Hampton informed me Aggies are no longer in the picture.

"They haven't really been coming after me anymore," he said.

Texas and Oklahoma now lead for his services.

"They've both been showing me a lot of attention since they offered, even when they knew I was liking A&M. They're both great programs. I could see myself at either one."

Hampton will be attending both Texas and OU junior days. (Dates TBD)

He may also hit LSU and Ohio State "if he can get out there." -- two programs that have also amped their recruiting efforts for him.
