With less than a month until making his college decision, 2013 DT Chris Palmer is securing offers and taking official visits. On January 11th, Palmer took his official visit to North Carolina Central.

"It was fun," Palmer said of the trip. "The players showed me a good time. I like the coaching staff a lot. They're cool."

NC Central offered Palmer, a 6-foot-3 and 265 pound defensive lineman, during his senior season at Collins Hill High School (GA).

"I'm still considering my other options," Palmer explained.

Palmer's other options include offers from Navy and most recently, William & Mary.

"Their coach came up to [Collins Hill] three times and brought another one of his coaching staff today to talk to me," Palmer said. "It's a full offer. I just need to be cleared with the admissions office.

"[William & Mary] would be a great school to go to," Palmer continued. "The academics there are incredible."

Palmer says he does not face any academic hurdles this spring in order to qualify for college football in the fall. Now, Palmer would like to take advantage of the two weekends left until National Signing Day.

"This weekend, I will be at William & Mary, Cincinnati or Maryland," Palmer said of the January 25th weekend. "If Cincinnati offers this week, that'll be the official visit I take this weekend."

Palmer says Marshall, Texas Tech and Tulsa have also contacted Collins Hill regarding his recruitment.

Although he has not made final plans yet, Palmer says he would like to take two more official visits depending on the offers that come through in the days to come.
