Those two offers give Miller a total of 11 now with it still being a year away from the time he will sign with someone.
The 'Noles and the Gators have now entered the mix and each stands out to Miller.
"I am from the same school as Peter Boulware and Michael Boulware, and both went to Florida, and they are good family friends. So, I have kind of followed Florida State because of them, so I am familiar with the program.
"I have talked to Coach [Billy] Napier a couple of times now too and I talked to Jimbo Fisher about the offer as well. I know they won the ACC this year and they are a good school.
"Florida's offer was not as surprising as FSU's because of my connection to Coach Lawning. I had interest in Florida before he even went there because of their 3-4 defense, so I am excited about this offer."
The 6-foot-4, 203 pound junior out of Spring Valley, S.C. has some big-time offers and he now has a list of eight that are high on his list.
"I do not have offers from Alabama and Georgia yet, but I think one is coming from Alabama and Georgia is showing a lot of interest. Coach [Chris] Rumph from Alabama told me it is only a mater of time before the offer from them is official."
The schools that made the list for this four-star outside linebacker made it for different reasons.
"I like some schools because of their defensive schemes, because of their coaches, because how they do things, and for many different reasons. I am looking at a lot of different things," he said.
One thing Miller has made clear to Scout is that he is no lock to stay in his home state college.
"A lot of people think because my dad (Corey Miller) played for South Carolina that I am definitely going there, but that is not true. I am going to make the best decision for me and he is very supportive of that. There is a good chance that I leave the state right now."
He could announce his decision in the coming months.
"I think I will be committed to someone by the summer. I will visit some schools soon and as soon as I know, I will make my decision. I want to get it out of the way so I can focus on my school. I will definitely be committed before my senior year."
Miller finished 2012 with 126 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, and 1 defensive touchdown.
He is the No. 4 outside linebacker in the country on Scout.
