Three-star Loganville (Ga.) Grayson defensive back David Kamara has wrapped up official visits with two of his top three schools leading up to national signing day. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound corner has made trips to Ole Miss and Kentucky and will head to LSU this weekend for his final stop.
"One more to go," Kamara said. "It's real close right now, but I'd say Ole Miss has a slight lead. I still like Kentucky, though. I've been talking with coach (Derrick) Ansley, and he's definitely got me thinking about them."
Asked what his most recent discussions with the new UK cornerbacks coach have been like, Kamara said, "Just telling me that they really want me up there and they're saving a spot for me. There's a good opportunity to come in and play early."
Kamara visited UK on the weekend of January 18. He was with Ole Miss this past weekend, calling it "a fun visit. I really liked the atmosphere."
This weekend, he'll be awaiting word from LSU about a scholarship offer. The Tigers may become a bigger factor if that comes.
Kamara said his final decision will come down to "just wherever I feel the most comfortable. It's tough decision right now, but I like all these schools."
Ole Miss is also believed to be the leader for his teammate, Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2013.
