The 6-foot-6, 305 pound offensive tackle out of Lake City (Fla.) Columbia has picked up offers from schools across the country, he has been recruited by the best recruiters, and he has established numerous relationships along the way.
He said from day one that he would announce his decision on signing day 2013 and that day is Wednesday.
Tunsil is ready.
"It has been a very tough process for me," Tunsil said with some emotion. "I have had many talks with my mom, I have prayed to God, and it has been tough for me to make this decision. I know I have to pick one school and after looking at everything, I am ready to now."
Each school has something that appeals to him.
Alabama: "They are a powerhouse team, they win championships, and they always play at a high level. I would like to join a program like that."
Georgia: "A great SEC school that competes for championships. They just missed winning the SEC the last two years and with me there, I think I could help them win those type of games. I really like their coaches too."
Ole Miss: "Relationships is a big key for me and I really like the ones I have with the Ole Miss coaches. They are great to talk to, they are on their way up as a program, and I like the people there."
It is not only about what appeals to him, but someone close to him is going through this process with him.
"My mom plays a big role in my final decision too. She is the love of my life, so I listen to her, I see what she thinks, and she has really helped me make my decision. She has order of schools and it happens to be the same as mine."
In less than 24 hours, all will know where Tunsil will spend the next four years of his life. He has waited for this day to come and it will be here soon.
"I cannot wait to sign on Wednesday morning at 9:30am," said Tunsil. "I am blessed to be in this position and it is time to sign with a school, and start to work towards college."
