Jackson Says he has a New Number One

There is little doubt the need that Florida has for cornerback help in the 2014 class. After only signing one corner in 2013 and the 2012 class as well, a minimum of three will have to do for this class. The Gators are going after the very best the state of Florida has to offer and that includes J.C. Jackson. Jackson attended junior day on Saturday and was committed to Florida State at the time.

According to Immokalee's J.C. Jackson, he was impressed with everything that Florida threw at him on Saturday.

"It was a very good visit, I loved it," Jackson said. "I just really liked some of the things the coaches told me. They told me where I am at on the board. They told me about the defense so I could get a hang of it."

The Florida staff led by Will Muschamp and secondary coach Travaris Robinson wasted little time in letting Jackson just how much they will need corners like him when he is ready to sign.

"They told me how much they will need corners by the time I am going to school," he said. "They said I could come there and be a great fit for them. They like my speed, my explosiveness. They like that I am a kick returner and can run the ball. They know I can do all of that."

It is a little tricky figuring out where the Gators and the Seminoles stand with his recruitment, but he laid it out something like this.

"Florida is my number one school," he said. "I am still committed to Florida State, but there is going to be a big decision there. I told the Gator coaches I am going to think about it this spring and let everyone know where I will be attending… it will be Florida or Florida State."
