Gators move up in polls

The Gators will start this week's schedule ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll.

Florida moved up in the rankings after a 17-point win against Kentucky last Tuesday, led by 14 points from Scottie Wilbekin. The Gators had five players in double figures, including 12 points and 11 rebounds from Patric Young. Florida shot 51.9% from the field and held Kentucky to 41.7%.

The Gators then went back on the road to face Auburn for the first time since losing to Arkansas on February 5. It turned into another Southeastern Conference blowout. Florida took an early lead and cruised through the second half, securing a 31-point win at Auburn Arena. Mike Rosario led the way with 22 points, including 18 in the first half, and freshman Michael Frazier added 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and the three-point line.

Florida will hit the road on Tuesday to face Missouri at 9 p.m. The Gators will then return home to face Arkansas on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Florida is the only SEC program ranked in either poll.
