Peach State Standout on Gators

One of the top defensive players in the Peach state for 2015 checks in from Atlanta (GA) Mays High School. With early offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina he one to watch as the recruiting season moves forward.

Natrez Patrick checks in at 6'3 and 230-pounds. He and his family recently visited the University of Florida and talked about it with Scout.com.

"My parents went down with me. I feel great. The facilities were amazing. I met with my recruiting coach, coach Lewis, the defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin and spent time with coach Muschamp. We watched practice, sat with the players in the meeting rooms for team meetings. It was real crazy to see. One day I am watching these guys on TV being coached by these coaches and the next I am sitting right next to them in meetings. "

The Gator coaching staff talked with Patrick and his family about what they like from him as a player.

"They love the way I rush the quarterback. I kept hearing BUCK/Defensive end kind of going back and forth. Coach Muschamp loves my hip placement and get off the ball speed with a natural ability to rush the passer. The intensity of practice was crazy and the strength coach was crazy intense."

This was the first college visit for Patrick and his family. He will visit Georgia next on April 6th, a team he says is recruiting him the most at this time.
