Quick Hitter: Trent Harris

Trent Harris has exploded onto the scene over the past month and he may have a date in mind to announce his decision.

Many programs have offered Trent Harris and most offered him over the past six weeks.

Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and South Florida are some of the schools that have offered the 6-foot-3, 235 pound defensive end out of Winter Park, Fla.

He may not wait too much longer before he picks the school he will play for in the future.

"I am pretty sure I will be committing on May 24 after out spring game," Harris told Scout.

Committing on that date will give Harris roughly two months to take some visits.

Visits to Alabama and Georgia are possible and he will likely get back at Florida and FSU one more time before he makes his decision.

It will likely come down to those four schools and Scout feels he will likely commit to an in-state school.

Florida was his "dream" school growing up.

Harris is a Scout 300 prospect and he is the No. 22 in the country on Scout.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
