Gators in the NBA

Ten former Florida basketball players ended their regular seasons in the NBA on Wednesday. With the playoffs starting this weekend, there will be eight former Gators in the playoffs, which is fifth among collegiate programs.

Brad Beal saw his rookie season end on April 2 with a season-ending injury. He averaged 13.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 56 games played this year for the Washington Wizards. His 13.9 points ranked fourth among rookies.

Matt Bonner played in 64 games this season for the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.

Corey Brewer played in all 82 games with the Denver Nuggets and had the best season of his career. Brewer averaged 12.1 point and 2.9 rebounds, including a 28-point game against San Antonio on April 10.

Udonis Haslem averaged 3.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 75 games with the Miami Heat. The franchise's all-time leading rebounder returned for the final game of the regular season after missing the previous four games with an injury.

Al Horford averaged 17.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Atlanta Hawks. He played in five of the last 10 games to get him rested and healthy for postseason play.

David Lee averaged 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds for the Golden State Warriors. He finished the regular season ranked 15th in the league and scoring and fourth in rebounding.

Mike Miller had a strong April while the Heat raced toward the playoffs. In April, Miller averaged 12.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists, plus two 20-point games.

Joakim Noah played the final two regular season games while the Chicago Bulls earned the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. Noah averaged 11.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists this season.

Chandler Parsons scored 23 points in two of the final three games of the season for the Houston Rockets. He averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists this season.

Marreese Speights averaged 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in his fourth year of the league, ending the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Beal and Speights are the only two of the 10 that won't be in the playoffs.
