Cage Adds New Offers and Suitor

Ohio four-star defensive tackle Daniel Cage is not one looking for attention during the recruiting process. However, as one of Ohio's top prospects, Cage known's there are those who have interest in learning more about him and his recruitment. FOX Sports NEXT caught up with Cage for the latest news.

The recruiting process is going smoothly for Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive tackle Daniel Cage.

The 6-foot-2, 295-pound Cage recently added two new offers and the attention of a program he's got high interest in.

"Recently I was offered by Arkansas and Wake Forest," said Cage. "I know Wake Forest is a very expensive school and is in the ACC. As for Arkansas, I don't know too much about them. So I'll have to get to know them better. I'm going to try and visit each of them but it might be a little hard.

While excited about both new offers, Cage is also excited by the contact being made by a new suitor.

"I was talking with Ohio State coach Kerry Coombs today," said Cage. "I'm planning on going up to Ohio State soon."

What did Coach Coombs have to say about the possibility of Cage earning an offer?

"Coach Coombs talked about them offering me this spring," said Cage. "He's trying to get me on campus to talk with Coach (Urban) Meyer and get more acquainted with Ohio State and hangout with some of the players and coaches to get a better feel for Ohio State."

What would an offer from the Buckeyes mean to Cage?

"If Ohio State offered they would be in the top of my offers," said Cage.

What other programs does Cage have high interest in this summer?

"I'm still interested in Wake Forest, Ohio State, Louisville, Florida, West Virginia, Michigan State and George Tech," said Cage. "Right now I'm planning on going down to Kentucky with Mike Edwards to check out UK and their campus. Next month I'm going to West Virginia for their camp."
