Cage Remains High On Spartans

Cincinnati (OH) Winton Woods defensive lineman Daniel Cage gives the latest on his interest in Michigan State.

One of the top prospects on Michigan State's recruiting board remains to be Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive tackle Daniel Cage.

What does Cage think about the Spartans at this stage in his recruitment?

"Michigan State is one of the top," said Cage. "I'm back and forth on them. I really like Michigan State, but I just have to get back up there and check it out for myself. I've been up there once but I didn't really get a good feel for the campus.

"If I go up there one more time and check out the campus, they would definitely be in the Top Three in my decision."

What has kept the Spartans in the running with the likes of Florida and others? Cage has been doing his research on things other than football.

"I like the athletic program," stated Cage. "But I want to major in physical therapy and Michigan State has a building for it so they would have the major I would want. It's one of the top programs in the country and not that far away from home. So they fit pretty well."

When does Cage see himself making his decision?

"Right now I think I'm going to make my decision after the football season," said Cage.
