Brown, 6-foot-6, 255-pounds, is a two-way lineman from Cincinnati Winton Woods, and he holds over 25 offers. In the past few days, Brown checked out Florida and Florida State. He has been offered by Florida.
"Florida was great," Brown stated. "We spent a full day there and I was with their coaching staff the whole time. I loved it there. I was able to sit down and speak with Coach (Will) Muschamp for about 30 minutes. They took me on a tour of the campus, and they even took me to a lake where I saw a real alligator."
"I've been to a lot of schools this year, but Florida was one of the best places I've been to so far," he added. "Their academic program is great, with high school teachers and college professors for tutors. They are ranked high in terms of football players earning degrees. Coach Muschamp was laid back and cool, and he told me to take my time with recruiting. He wants me to call him next week, just to let him know how everything went."
Although he was only able to spend a few hours at Florida State, Brown was impressed with the Seminole program.
"We were only there a short time, but I really liked it there," Brown explained. "Their facilities were very nice and I liked the campus. I spoke to the coaches and they said they want to offer me, but they need to see the tape from my first scrimmage."
"They are recruiting me as a defensive end," he continued. "I need to check them out further, but I'm definitely interested in Florida State. I'd like to get back here again."
Brown will attend the Miami camp on Sunday, where he will work out for the coaching staff.
