The 6-foot-3 and 190-pound quarterback now has offers from both FSU and South Florida. While Florida has not offered Cain as of yet, the talented athlete surely caught the attention of the Gator staff with an impressive showing at Friday Night Lights.
"My recruitment is starting to blow up right now," said Cain. "I got my first offer from FSU recently and then I got an offer from USF."
Cain who started at quarterback last year and will again this year for Tampa Bay Tech was offered as a wide receiver by FSU and as an athlete by USF. As a sophomore the athletic Cain threw for 1,645 yards while completing 132 of 245 pass attempts. Ten throws went for touchdowns versus six interceptions. He also showed off his 4.4 speed last year running for 232 yards.
The young signal caller was obviously excited about his first two offers.
"It felt great. Those are two big schools that have really good football players on their teams and it feels good to know they want me to be a part of that," said Cain.
In addition to having the two offers Cain is also hearing from three out-of-state schools.
