Future Gator Feels Blessed

The Florida Gators are not only securing players in the class of 2014 but 2015 and 2016. The Gators landed wide receiver Da'Vante Phillips for 2015 as well as Tyler Byrd and Tre Jackson for 2016.

Tyler Byrd checks in from Naples (Fla.) and ended the recruiting process early as he picked the University of Florida earlier this year. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound playmaker is ready for the season to begin.

"I am very blessed to be in this position to be highly recruited," Tyler Byrd said. "I wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for the father himself. The best part about being recruited is all the opportunity that will be given ahead. I am not focusing on the worst part because it might overshadow the good opportunity that will come."

For Naples to be successful this season Byrd knows exactly what his team must do.

"The defense coming together, everyone being technically sound and executing the plays," Byrd said.

With Phillips, Byrd and Jackson on board the Gators are doing a great job securing playmakers for the future.
