"It was a great game, he gave me some work, that's what he does, he's a great receiver," Wilson said.
"I think he did good on his part, we pretty much had a game plan around him, to shut him down, and that's what we did."
In the third quarter, Lane did returned a kick 58-yards before being knocked out of bounds in the redzone. He threw up the Gator chomp after.
"I thought that was going to turn the game around," Wilson said.
Still, Lane knows he could have done better.
"I didn't perform at my best. Next week, I just have to step up and be the better leader that I am," he said.
"Quincy did good overall, he caught a pick-six, he had good coverage."
Lane was the target on the pick Wilson caught. While the fellow Florida commits are competitors on the field, off the field, they remain great friends.
"I might bring it up to him, because on my pick, (the quarterback) was trying to throw to him, but I'm not going to brag to him or anything like that because after all, we're going to be teammates," Wilson said.
"He's not going to give me a hard time, it's all love," Lane said.
- Lane plans to be at the Florida vs. Miami game in two weeks.
"At the end of the day, the SEC is going to bring it home because that's grown man football," he said.
- Wilson will not be able to make the Florida vs. Miami game because University School has a game that day.
- He has no plans to take any official visits except to Florida, and he's not yet sure when that might be.
