Chrisitian Alexander Takes in the Swamp

Christian Alexander takes in the Swamp: One of the top 2015 signal callers in the sunshine state was on hand as the Florida Gators hosted the Toledo Rockets. What did the Lakeland (Fla.) Lakeland Christian School standout think about his visit to Gainesville?

Christian Alexander is one of the top quarterbacks in the state of Florida for 2015. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Alexander had a chance to visit the University of Florida as Toledo came to town week one.

"I liked it a lot," Christian Alexander said. "The team played real well. I had a chance to go into the locker room and talked to some of the guys and talked to coach [Brent] Pease, he said he will be down to see me real soon."

"The best part for me was being in that environment again."

Alexander stood out with plenty of top talent during Florida'S Friday Night Light's in late July. Will Grier, Feleipe Franks, Dwayne Lawson and Lorenzo Nunez all participated in the camp in addition to Alexander and he stood out with his ability to throw the ball.

My Take:

Alexander is right in the mix with the Gators for the quarterback spot in next year's class. It's a very talented group with Lawson and Lorenzo just in the Southeast alone. It was an unfortunate situation that caused offensive coordinator Brent Pease to miss Friday Night Lights. Had he attended I think you would have read about more offers going out to quarterbacks. It's only a matter of time before Alexander lands his offer from the Gators second year offensive coordinator. Current teammate and 2015 running back T.J. Simmons also visited for this weekend's game vs. Toledo.
