Sky the Limit for Future Gator

Head coach Will Muschamp and the rest of the Florida coaching staff are having great success on the recruiting trail in 2014. Of the 15 verbal commitments for this year's class, eight are four stars and one, Ermon Lane checks in as a five star prospect.

The Gators are not only focusing on 2014 or 2015 but 2016 as well. Coach Muschamp and crew have commitments from Tre Jackson and Tyler Byrd. Tyler Byrd is a 5-foot-11, 160-pound wide receiver from Naples (Fla.)

"My first encounter with Florida and their coaching staff was great," Tyler Byrd said. "Really felt at home the whole experience was unbelievable. I talk to the coaches every week. I talk to (Defensive Coordinator) coach [D.J.] Durkin and he just talks about how I am doing. How's the season and I ask him about some of the players. No other schools are recruiting me."

Byrd is an electric playmaker with the ball in his hands.

"At wide receiver I have been really good at getting up and really want to work on my blocking a lot more," Byrd said. "On defense I have been doing well at defending the deep ball and need to work on defending the slant. The first couple of games have gone well. I had an interception on defense and a touchdown on offense."

Byrd did have a message for the Gator Nation.

"I will be at the University of Florida next week for the Tennessee and Florida game. GO GATORS."
